Description
What is Design Rule Check (DRC)?
Design rule check is a feature or tool that checks a PCB design for any possible faults or errors at design stage. In essence, it helps the designer to comply with manufacturing process specification by checking for layout errors.
Elements KING FIELD DRC inspection consist of:
- Spacing: The distance between two graphic elements
- Line length: the total length of conductors in the particular rule
- Line width: a trace's width according to the current rule
- Hole outer diameter: through hole's outer diameter
- Hole inner diameter: a hole's inner diameter (drill hole diameter)
- Spacing between traces, between traces and pads, between traces and vias, between pads and vias and between vias.
