Flexible printed circuit boards mainly operate on very thin and flexible materials. The material that forms the basis of flexible PCB gives them their flexibility and ability to keep stable electrical connections even when the circuit gets bent, folded or twisted. Polyimide is the common type of substrate used for flex PCBs.

Q1. What is your delivery time?

KING FIELD:

Our sample delivery time for a standard order is 3-5 days. If you ask for a rush, we can get you samples in 24-48 hours. Bulk orders are typically delivered within 7-12 days of receiving a deposit, depending on the quantity of your order.

Q2. How to avoid rough hole walls and material damage when drilling holes in flexible boards?

KING FIELD:

The drills we use for high-speed drilling are diamond coated. We do plasma cleaning with O₂/CF₄ after drilling to get rid of contaminants. This way, the uniformity in copper for the holes in our PCB is 85% or higher.

Q3. How do you ensure the etching precision of the fine lines on the flexible board ?

KING FIELD:

Thin copper etching line, dual-sided fan spraying, LDI direct imaging, online AOI 100% inspection are the series of steps we take to keep line width measurement accuracy within ±2μm .

Q4. What is the minimum trace width/spacing for your flexible PCBs ?

KING FIELD:

We are capable of line width and spacing of 0.05mm/0.05mm.

Q5. How do you ensure a strong bond between the cover film and the substrate?

KING FIELD: We are going to apply plasma activation to effectively improve the PI surface . When using acrylic adhesive , the thickness is kept at 25±3μm , thereby providing a peel strength ≥1.0N/mm and successfully passing the bending ​‍​‌‍​‍‌​‍​‌‍​‍‌test.
