Q1 : How do you deal with the burrs and resin residue that are easily generated when drilling Rogers materials?
KING FIELD : We use diamond -coated drill bits , combined with plasma cleaning process.
Q2 : How do you solve the problem of edge chipping during drilling ?
KING FIELD: We use diamond-coated drill bits and check the wear of the drill bits before each processing. We retract the drill bit every 0.3mm to minimize secondary scratches on the hole wall by ceramic particles. At the same time, we use phenolic backing plates to support the board and reduce edge chipping at the exit.
Q3 : Can you explain why impedance control of Rogers PCBs is
so difficult ? KING FIELD: The dielectric constant is not a fixed value, but varies with frequency. Moreover, the dielectric constant of Rogers materials is quite sensitive to factors such as temperature and frequency , so the control difficulty is relatively high .
Q4 : How do you solve the adhesion problem that easily occurs when Rogers boards are surface treated ?
KING FIELD: We use plasma activation and a special chemical bonding process, which can significantly improve the adhesion between the surface treatment layer and the substrate.
Q5 : How do you ensure the alignment accuracy of multilayer Rogers boards?
KING FIELD: We use a high-precision optical alignment system and dimensional compensation algorithm, and then adjust the parameters according to the material characteristics of each batch to ensure that the interlayer alignment accuracy meets the standards.
